Overview

Aerothane Applications is a leading manufacturer of Rigid Polyurethane Foam (PUR/PIR), a closed-cell plastic widely used as factory-made thermal insulation. Polyurethane (PUR) and Polyisocyanurate (PIR) are organic compounds manufactured by reacting a Polyol with a Di/Poly-Isocyanate to create polymers forming the building blocks of the insulation material.

Both PUR and PIR offer excellent mechanical and fire-resistant properties. The closed cellular matrix of PIR insulation board makes it resistant to moisture and water infiltration, ensuring long-term thermal and structural performance. At Aerothane, we mould these materials into blocks and then precision-cut them into sheets or pipe sections using our 5 CNC machines — giving you the exact shape and size you need, every time.

Applications & Uses

🔧

Pipe Sections

Aerothane manufactures and custom-cuts PUR and PIR pipe sections to your specific needs. Our 5 CNC machines allow us to cut to any inside diameter and any thickness, with sizes ranging from 13mm ID to big vessels and tanks measuring over 6 metres in diameter.

We offer single, double and triple layer systems and have the expertise to advise on correct thicknesses based on your application requirements.

🏗️

Insulation Boards

Thanks to their excellent mechanical strength, insulation boards made of rigid PUR/PIR foam are highly resistant and can be combined with other materials. They are easy to install on the building site and are widely used in roofing, wall insulation and industrial applications.

🏢

Metal-Faced Sandwich Panels

Sandwich panels feature a rigid PUR/PIR foam core with profiled metal facings on both the upper and lower surfaces. Particularly suited for roofing and wall applications, support structures in halls and industrial buildings, as well as refrigeration and cold-storage units.

Lightweight panels are easy to process and can be installed in all weather conditions.

📦

Blocks

PUR/PIR block foam can be cut to shape for the insulation of building equipment and industrial installations, as well as for moulding sculptures or specialised components. We regularly supply blocks to engineers, students and design professionals for prototyping, model-making and specialised moulding applications.

📋

Sheets

Sheets are manufactured primarily for the refrigerated truck industry and for flooring applications. Aerothane holds contracts with most truck body manufacturers and cuts various thicknesses and densities to suit each customer's requirements.
