Aerothane Applications was founded in 1990 in Cape Town, South Africa, with a simple but powerful mission: to provide the Southern African market with high-quality polyurethane foam products and insulation solutions backed by genuine technical expertise.
Over the past three decades, we have grown from a small fabrication workshop into one of the region’s most respected manufacturers and distributors of thermal and acoustic insulation. Our product range has expanded to meet the evolving needs of industries ranging from petrochemical and refrigeration to construction and acoustic engineering.

Based in Montague Gardens, Cape Town, our manufacturing facility is equipped with five CNC profiling machines that allow us to produce custom-shaped insulation components with exceptional precision and speed. This investment in technology means we can achieve a turnaround time of less than 24 hours on most orders — a critical advantage for our customers operating in fast-moving industries.
We also distribute Rockwool mineral wool insulation across sub-Saharan Africa, sourcing product with the lowest shot content available in the market. Combined with our own manufactured polyurethane, PIC foam, acoustic foam and expanded polystyrene product lines, we offer one of the most comprehensive insulation portfolios in the region.
